Whales in the Classroom books are one of the few resources available that are based on actual data collected by scientists in the field. Since the author is a 6th grade teacher, Whales in the Classroom books have been field tested for years by middle school students. During that time the activities have been revised and “honed to perfection”.  Over 20,000 copies of these books have been sold and most of them have been to teachers.

At Singing Rock Press we believe that a large part of the healthy future of our planet rests on the health of our oceans, and the health of our oceans clearly rests on the interests of young people and their willingness to "follow their hearts to the seas."
